Hi,

I'm having problems with low frames in overwatch. I think i should be never be hitting frames under 200, but i actually never hit 200 fps. Here is some info:

1. Build - https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TPjtZ8

2. 391.35 nvidia driver version

and the performance i took with CAM https://imgur.com/a/kA4ch

where you can see that low is 70 fps, the average is 120-130 and the peak at the left is 200 fps. That was in spawn.

Do you have Vsync hard enabled in your Nvidia Control panel? I'd guess that is the reason you're only seeing 60fps

Is the monitor plugged into your GPU?

also how "low" are your frames

i edited with screenshot of settings and frames, it is indeed plugged in my gpu. average frames are 130

vsync is off of course

If vsync is off, you won't get more FPS than your monitor's refresh rate. Why would you turn it off, it should be on.

What? having vsync off doesn't lock your FPS, also all it does is reduce tearing and increase input lag.

i have a 144 hz monitor, but its not even at 144, it rarely hits 144. The number that says how many fps my system is imputing or wtv its called is supposed to be around 200 according to benchmark.

Exactly, but having vsync on ensures that your graphics card doesn't waste frames. So why would @I is Rabbit turn it off.

What..? If anything it would cause lower frames

Are you getting 100% gpu utilization? you should be...

 

My buddy had an issue when he updated to this driver version that caused his gpu to max out at around 80% and he fixed it by doing a DDU, and reinstalling from NVIDIA.com WITHOUT GeForce experience. It seems the GeForce experience version was causing the issue somehow. (this has happened to him twice now)

that is false. it wouldnt, i even tried it and of course it lowers fps.

Display driver uninstaller.

Its a utility you can run that requires you to unhook your PC from the internet (to prevent automatic updates maybe?) and removes any drivers.

I think it just leaves you with the windows basic driver.
