GTX 770 SLI

Go to solution Solved by Shd0w2,

I just found something out.. lol the last time I actually tested my FPS was a couple drivers ago when it  sucked on bf4.. Now I get about 50-60 fps on ultra... I guess im taking SLI off my list and upgrading to a monitor.. any good monitors?

Hey, I have a question about graphics cards.

Would it be worth it if I upgraded to dual sli with two gtx 770's? I currently have one and it runs BF4 pretty nicely, but I want it to perform better, but I don't know if I would actually have a ton of improved performance upgrading.

My PC setup;

AMD FX 8350, NonOCED

EVGA GTX 770 OC

750Watt PSU

Gigabyte AM3+ mobo

8GB of corsair vengeance 1866mhz ram

I was going to upgrade but I don't know if its actually worth it now. Please help! :)

I don't see a reason unless you are running multiple monitors. Plus GTX 770 SLI for multi monitor is a bad idea due to low VRAM. For the single monitor a single GTX 770 is more than enough for BF4

I want to run higher quality and have better FPS, and I do have two monitors. SO idk.

He means run on multiple displays, like surround gaming (3 monitors all for the single game). Honestly the 770 should be fine for a single monitor! What resolution are you running? I have my GTX 470 (granted its overclocked like 45%) but it handles battlefield 4 @ high settings at about 50+ FPS no problem @ 1920 x 1200.

is 2 770s good for 120hz? and Ultra settings?

It might be cheaper and more cost effective to go with a single 780/780Ti, but yes. It would be more than sufficient.

I'm running SLI 770's for BF4. The performance gain is quite good, but it might not be what you are thinking. You'll get around 90 FPS average with everything turned up. A little higher in low density areas, and a little lower when in a packed firefight.

However, if you turn off AA, and ambient occlusion you'll get 125+ fps. Which is what i'm doing now.

If i could choose again i would have stuck with one 770, and just turned off the AA, and AO to get around 90FPS.
