Built This PC with the intent of Resale. Left all the plastic film on and only test booted twice (and installed NVIDIA Driver + BIOS update)

What do you guys feel it should be valued at?

ALL cables neatly tucked away ( a bit messy behind the motherboard tray but not visible through any passthough holes/grommets)

Build looks sexy when its all lit up. Radiator mounted on the rear exhaust.

Includes Windows 10.

The idea here is that it looks nicer than it is. Checking all the boxes for buzzwords: Nvidia 10 series graphics, Intel 8th gen (6core), tempered glass + LEDS, watercooling, SSD storage.

Granted, the SSD is a cheapie (no DRAM), case has shit airflow, liquid cooler is low end (although more than enough for a locked i5,) founders edition card looks nice but doesn't peform well thermally.

The idea is that the buyer isn't "that" well educated and doesn't understand most of these flaws. Or maybe he is... doesn't matter, I ought to make a decent markup given the price I paid.

Built this thing from all new parts (except the GTX 1070)

Specs:

GTX 1070

i5-8400

Master Liquid Lite 120

240 GB Team Group Lite SSD

Gigabyte Z370 HD3 Motherboard

8 GB G.Skill Aegis RAM

Corsair CX450 Grey Label

diypc illusionii-br case

Total Cost: $770 US (includes windows)

Thank you for the reply :)

Although I wouldn't let It go at that price considering the labor (6-8 hours including time spent buying and deal hunting) invested.

I'm thinking $900

That's reasonable too. I was gonna say $850-1000, but I'm in Canada, where prices are different than the US.

So you think that your work is worth 130$? The building service from most computershops costs like 50$. How do you justify more than double the price of that?

I'm not asking how much to mark it up vs what I paid for it.

I'm asking how much someone else would value the system.

Computer shops make money for selling the components at higher prices than I paid. So a computer shop might sell the same PC for $850 or more in parts plus $50 even though they only paid $750 for those parts.

Microcenter and Newegg sell similarly spec'd pre-built PCs for $1300 give or take

well with RAM and GPU pricing being a thing right now you probably could get away with raping someone for close to a grand, heck I probably would have just flipped the parts I could get good deals on and never bought the rest, you get more money from parts then you do a whole computer.
