Awhile back I won some Beats earbuds in a raffle and they work mostly fine on my LG G5 but only the actual earbuds work on my laptop.

They are the Beats Tour 2 (not where I bought them, just a good image)

They have an inline mic on the back of the inline controls. Neither the controls or the inline mic work on windows 10, but the mic works just fine on Lubuntu when I dual booted.

This is my laptop, and in case you don't want to look, the specs are an i5 8520U, 8Gb DDR4 (not sure of the speed), and a 1tb hard drive. Windows version 1709 build 16299.309

I think that it is the actual layout of the poles. I remember reading awhile back that apple uses a different layout than android and everything else, and beats is owned by apple. If that is the case, why does it work in Lubuntu?

Also would there be like an adapter to get it to work (either a USB card or an actual 3.5mm jack with the poles re wired)

Any help is greatly appreciated since my laptop has a crappy built in mic
