DBrand Questions

Hello,

 

A couple of questions. 

 

1) Has anyone tried using Dbrand skins with other cases?  If so do they usually still fit okay?

2) How long does it usually take Dbrand to get back with you?  I emailed them about four days ago to see if their grip case was still for sale and still no response other than an automated one saying a representative will respond soon.

1) Yes! I have one on my iPhone 8 with a clear case and it works perfectly!

2) I don't know, I was originally gonna get the grip too, but I would recommend a clear back case to show off the skin, as they are far cheaper and provide the same protection.

1. Depends on the case. Dbrand skins aren't very thick but a tight-fitting case will probably mess up a skin.

2. I'm no insider, but since I haven't gotten my Grip that I ordered in November yet, it'll probably be a couple months before they start offering them retail. I would also watch out with Grips, some people are receiving badly manufactured cases. I don't know if mine will be good or bad yet.

I agree with Kobathor, it is case by case (all pun intended) on whether or not the skin will work work with the case. And do not know when they would be out either, they are still fulfilling orders and the cases seem to work well with certain phones but not the best with others. I have an og Pixel XL and the case and skin works like a dream together, but fair warning, the skin for the grip is different from the ones they sell on their site; it doesn't wrap around the sides of the phone since that's where the grip is and Dbrand does recommend getting a grip specific skin if you are going to be using the case

1) I have tried the White Carbon Fiber skin, with the skins being paper thin and doing nothing to protect your phone, I used the Otterbox Symmetry Case clear, for my phone, The skin bunched up and looked horrible. 

2) Robots Robots Robots Robots. 

 

Overall I would not use a case for the skins, Its meant to have more looks then protection, so don't drop your phone.

In the event that a grip case is not an option.  Are there any recommendations for a Galaxy S8 as far as a case?  It is my first pricey phone and I would like to keep it looking like new as long as possible.  My previous phone was a Kyocera Event from ages ago.

I’ve been a big advocate of LifeProof, with by far the best Customer support by far, if you get a scratch or a very small issue with the case they send you a bran new one 1 day shipping, you just pay the tax so 5$. 

 

Im not sure with Android phones. But I love there Clear case. 

 

I’d say the symatry Otterbox, but I’ve used it for like 2 weeks and it turned yellow.
