I want to get a "new" Thinkpad for less than 200 CAD, but I'm not sure which one to choose. I'm thinking an X220 (I want a small Thinkpad) since they're pretty cheap and portable. Are there better options? It has to include a charger and Windows for under $200. I'll be doing a bit of gaming (BeamNG, TF2, etc.) and lots of typing and video watching (old keyboard style is a must). Thanks!

Don't forget about the touchpad. The X220 has a hilariously small touchpad. It does still have the TrackPoint though.

I have small hands he he and therefore don't really care about small trackpads. Are there other models you'd suggest?

The X220 is fine so long as you don't have any intentions of doing anything quickly and are willing to spend another $50 on an SSD.

CPU: Core i9 12900K || CPU COOLER : Corsair H100i Pro XT || MOBO : ASUS Prime Z690 PLUS D4 || GPU: PowerColor RX 6800XT Red Dragon || RAM: 4x8GB Corsair Vengeance (3200) || SSDs: Samsung 970 Evo 250GB (Boot), Crucial P2 1TB, Crucial MX500 1TB (x2), Samsung 850 EVO 1TB || PSU: Corsair RM850 || CASE: Fractal Design Meshify C Mini || MONITOR: Acer Predator X34A (1440p 100hz), HP 27yh (1080p 60hz) || KEYBOARD: GameSir GK300 || MOUSE: Logitech G502 Hero || AUDIO: Bose QC35 II || CASE FANS : 2x Corsair ML140, 1x BeQuiet SilentWings 3 120 ||

LAPTOP: Dell XPS 15 7590

TABLET: iPad Pro

Like I've mentioned in previous posts, HDDs are fine in my book, so I might skip on the SSD.

Looks fine then, but with that HDD it's a "type in a search and go and take a piss" type of computer.

@Jamiec1130 @orbitalbuzzsaw Alright, I've narrowed it down to two contenders: (yes I know they're pretty much the same, lemme explain):

1. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Lenovo-Thinkpad-X220-i5-2540M-2-6GHz-4GB-ram-160GB-12-W10H-New-Battery-Grade-B/302374258074?hash=item4666e9059a:g:C3gAAOSwOtVaupqL#viTabs_0

2. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Lenovo-ThinkPad-X220-Laptop-12-5-IPS-Dual-Core-i5-2-6GHz-4GB-WiFi-Bluetooth-AC/362186415939?hash=item5453fe1f43:g:5GQAAOSwK31ZskZI#viTabs_0

1. Comes with everything, is ready to go out of the box, but from the pictures (I read the description stating that the one in the pics isn't the one I'll receive) it's an ISO keyboard layout, which is a bit no-no for me. It's also a bit more expensive, and the HDD isn't that big. Also, the item location is around 2 hours away from me, so shipping will be fast.

2. Cheaper, but it doesn't come with an HDD. Battery is the original, not a new one like with 1. It also appears to be in rougher condition. Last "big" issue is shipping. It'll either take forever and be expensive or take longer and be shipped to a PO box my parents have in Port Huron (but they rarely drive down there since it's kinda far).

If you guys find other ones let me know.

Definitely get #1. #2 looks more than a little sketchy.
