Windows server 2012 load balancing.

Hello everyone, I've got 2 Exchange servers that I wish to load balance. The OS is 2012 datacenter. I've given each server a NIC and I've assigned an IP for the cluster. Server 1 has an IP of 192.168.1.20 and the second one has 192.168.1.21. The cluster IP has the IP of 192.168.1.236. I looked at both NICs and I see. "No Internet Access".

Try setting it to DHCP. I have Server 2008 R2 Datacenter on my primary rig and I use DHCP.

NLB needs to have a static IP. Plus Not ideal to have a dynamic IP on a server

Huh? No.. It works when I port to one of the servers. It I port it to the cluster IP. Nothing works.

Hmm. Is your DNS and subnet mask set up properly?

Yes.

Normally you use a seperate machine for the load balancing and you have some mailboxes on one server while other are on other servers.
Like here:

Load balance between the servers? if one goes down, the other one is still working.

So you want load balancing or redundancie/backup ?
With load balancing you can make it so both servers take part of the load. If you want to have redundacy you want to continue keep working while one of the servers goes down.
I believe it's also possible to have both, but first you need to know what you want.
