hello,

I am trying to build a new pc. my budget is arround $1400 preferably i wanted a gtx 1070 with a i7-8700k but they are a bit pricey, so i opted for the gtx 1060 6gb. the below is my current list of parts. any advice is appreciated.

What resolution and refresh rate is your monitor?

 

Are you planning on overclocking your CPU?

1060 6gb averages 80fps for most use cases I've seen it in

more specifically i have a 1080p 144hz monitor and i would like to overclock yes

You should wait for two or three months IMO. Graphics card prices will drop because mining difficulty will increase and GPU mining will become unprofitable.

Here's a decent build for the money, within your listed budget and you still get your 1070. It's not an Intel chip but it should more than compensate especially if you check the benchmark comparisons. Also, I'm not sure if Microsoft still has it up but last I knew you could still get Windows 10 as a free upgrade through their "Accessibility Upgrade" program so long as you have a legal copy of 7, Vista or 8. Just install what you have, it'll verify legal copy and let you upgrade.
