which cpu do i upgrade to?

hey guys 

i have this hp desktop with an i5 4460 and a h87 mobo

i recently bought a 1050 ti for it

next in my upgrade queue is d cpu. which one do i buy?

are 5th gen cpus supported on the h87?  where can i get older processors? 

 

ps. im not gonna upgrade my mobo so dont recommend that.

Try and find a used i7 4770 or 4790 on Ebay.

A 4770 or hyperthreaded xeon e3 would work.

What are you using the system for? Going to a 1050 Ti and upgrading from the 4460 seems like a bit of an unusual combination.
