Storing PSU

Hi there.

 

I recently bought Corsair 750W RMx with the help of you people ! But i still have some questions.

 

I will buy a case (most likely a carbide 100r or spec-01 from corsair) and i want to install the psu when i get the case. So this can be up to a month until i got the budget.

 

My question is, do i need to get any extra precautions to store the PSU until i install it ? I only opened it for checking if there was any structural damage and then put it back to its box. 

 

This might seem a stupid question but as the summer is up ahead to where i live which is very humid and hot and given that i never waited for a computer part to install, i needed to ask someone.

Keep it in your room in the box, if the temps and stuff are okay for you, it's probably okay for the PSU. I wouldn't worry about the humidity unless it's also very cold and stuff starts to condense. As for the heat, just don't keep it in your car or a storage room and it'll be alright.

And storing a PSU for 1 Month is no problem.

Storing a PSU for 10 Years however is.
