I've already planned out as to which parts I'm going to be using. But I still need help from other stuff. Let me show you the build I have in my mind first and after that, my questions that I need answers with.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200

Motherboard: ASUS Prime B350 Plus

Memory: Ballistix Sport LT 8GB DDR4

Storage: 1TB HDD 7200 RPM (Seagate or WD, depends on which is cheaper when I decide to purchase)

Graphics Card: RX 560 or GTX 1050 (again, depends on which is cheaper when I decide to purchase)

Case: I plan to get the cheapest but decent ATX Mid tower case.

Power Supply: Seasonic S12II 520w

I plan to use this PC for heavy web browsing (20+ tabs), Excel, Powerpoint, light gaming (I'd like to explore different types of games, but I'm not one to look for high settings, FPS > Quality) and emulating things like PSP, PS2, GBA etc.. (I use multiple PSP emulators at the same time, so I plan on getting extra memory in the future, because I like having chrome on in the background with like 20 tabs). I also like multitasking a lot.

So I'm on a budget and is the parts that I plan to buy. And here are my questions.

1. So apparently, RAM speed helps with Ryzen more so than other CPUs. So should I change my RAM? The RAM I selected runs at 2400Mhz, priced at 88 USD at my location. I could alternatively go for Corsair Vengeance LPX (3000Mhz) priced at 103 USD. Is it worth the extra money? Or do you have a different RAM in mind? (I'm fine with overclocking and I plan to do so.)

1.1 I plan on getting 8GB of RAM and add another 8GB when I saved enough money for it. The question is, should I go for 2x4GB sticks at the start and add another 2x4GB or is it better if I just go for the 8GB sticks? The prices for 1x8GB and 2x4GB are basically the same.

2. I plan to overclock my CPU to at least 3.8Ghz, at stock cooler of course. However, the overclocks I've seen on the internet are typically done in 20 C room temperature. And the ambient room temperature here averages at 28 C, even on the rainy seasons. So do I need to get a better cooler? Or should I just get a Ryzen 3 1300X? I don't know much about coolers so that's why I asked.

3. Is the power supply good? Do I need to get a better one? Or can get I something cheaper? It's priced at 47 USD here. I'm looking to save as much as possible without sacrificing performance.

4. Should I go for a different Motherboard? The one I picked is currently the cheapest in my location at 84 USD. ATX Motherboards only.

5. Any other suggestions? I'm looking to maximize the performance while saving money as much as possible. The max I could do is 600 USD tops. No peripherals, no windows key, etc. Only the PC itself. I also plan on upgrading from this build, but that's for another story.

if you can get some faster 2800-3000mhz ram then i'd recommend you do it. no need to be from any particular brand.

i'd go 1x8gb now for better upgradability.

it should be good enough, try it with the stock cooler first and if it can't take it then get an aftermarket cooler.

the S12ii is old and missing protections, get a corsair CX or coolermaster masterwatt instead.

it's a pretty decent mobo but if getting a cheaper B350 board means you can get a ryzen 1400/1500x/2400G with the budget then get a cheaper board.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
