I made a post earlier about which fans to get. I was told to just the AF140s because they're the best value due to not really needing anymore fans, just for looks.

But as I was checking out, I saw an ad for Phanteks Halos. I fell in love with them. I think a fan that has a ring like that around the outside would look MUCH better than the AF140s.

But I have an issue. I have no RGB controller and my mobo is too old to be compatible. I will have RGB lights, but just the cheap Deepcool kit with the remote. Not anything sync-able.

I just want them to be white. I do not care if they can switch. But I think I'd HAVE to have some kind of controller? If so, I'll get over it and go with the AF140s. Just have to ask.

They use the standard 12V RGB controller so you can use the deepcool RGB kit with it but you will need an adapter to connect the Halos units.

This is the kit. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811980001&ignorebbr=1

It only has 2 plugs and there are 2 strips. So I don't believe it would work?

As long as the controller's amperage is high enough you can wire them up to that unit all you need is a RGB splitter to hook it up to that kit.

So technically I should be able to get this, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812987031&cm_re=PH-CB_RGB4P-_-12-987-031-_-Product

and this, https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811980001&ignorebbr=1

and I should be able to make 2 Halos work?

Any way to tell amperage on the Deepcool?

Either way, I appreciate it. I'll probably try all of this and take the risk. It's be worth it to have RGB fans up front that sync with the LED strips inside.

That unit is cable of 6A from the rating so it shouldn't have any issue running all of that.

Hoorah!! If this works out, I'll give you a virtual hug. Actually, either way.

One more question if you don't mind. Right now I have 2 Phanteks 120mm in the front as intakes and an F12 as an exhaust through my H80i. Should I be fine with that or should I really have atleast 1 free exhuast?

I'm not overclocking or anything. But the GPU is a reference style 650 Ti Boost so not cold.
