worst traveling experiences

So pretty much what it says on the tin, I'll go first

okay so back like 2 years ago me and my family went fishing for the day on the Georgia - North Carolina border for you Americans.

Anyway shortly after we finished it was late and started raining really badly so we decided to spend the night.So turns out at 9:30 pm like almost every hotel in like 1 hour radius is booked due to a pro poker match going on the next few days in that area, so we start driving for 3 hours looking for somewhere to spend the night. so at this point we could have gotten home like an hour ago but whatever, so we see a hotel with one of those Vacancy signs so we pull over and they charge us like 125$ which could get you a pretty nice room in that area normally. Okay so we go into are room and we walk into this ( taken of review )

okay not to bad, anyway here is what happens, we find a dead animal in the bathroom, roaches and bed bugs everywhere including beds, no heating and its dropped to 40F or about 4.5 Celsius because we are now in the mountains and leaky roof so it dripped on us. So yeah kinda sucked.

Also if anyone is curious were this was, it was at The Star Dust motel North Carolina.

Our flight to go home got delayed until the next day so Southwest Airlines booked us a stay at a Travelodge hotel. It was in a shady part of Las Vegas with shady people to match outside. I didn't sleep last night. I randomly mentioned that the blankets were itchy so we threw them on the ground and just slept on the sheets.

I went to Graceland on vacation with my family and the first night we were there someone got shot and killed in out parking lot

A close second was nearly getting electrocuted in Eureka Springs in a bath tub when the light fixture fell out of the ceiling

In once got all my money and personal documents stolen while backpacking through Hungary.

Luckily, the embassy was able to get me home.

Other than that I've been very lucky with traveling. I've never experienced any major layovers or delays, and people have been nice almost everywhere.
