Unless you feel you will need it - no. 8GB is more than enough for what you need, and for what you'll need in the future unless you plan on doing some heavy duty video, photo editing and CAD and other RAM intensive tasks.

The only things you will need more than 8GB of RAM for are intense photo or video editing. Playing WoW and doing homework will never use more than 8GB. Unless you want the bragging rights of lots of RAM, your money would be better spent elsewhere.

Going off the post the others have mentioned about RAM. If it's some sort of performance jump you're after then my biggest improvement I've experienced with a system was adding an SSD. I'd recommend if you haven't got one yet then it'll be a more beneficial investment then extra RAM especially since you don't need it.

Yeah' date=' get an SSD. 8GB is more than enough for what you do.[/quote']

IPCharger, it may be more clear to say something like: Like Justin C said, grab an SSD if you want noticeable performance in day to day tasks. Also 8GB of RAM should be more than enough for your system.

I only say this because (to me) it read that you were telling him to get a 8GB SSD as apposed to what I wrote above. Just trying to make it more clear ;). Great to see so many helping out.
