Im building a computer and im wondering if the i7-8700k is compatible with the ASUS Prime B250-PRO. Ive seen that the motherboard is compatible with the 7th generation but is it with the 8th? I know that they are both 14 nm but i dont know if theres a problem .If there is a problem, please recommend one that is compatible.

No that motherboard isn't compatible with that CPU, I recommend you go for the Asus Prime Z370-A.

8th gen Intel CPUs need a 300 series chipset. As of right now, only the Z370 chipset is actually available (and you'd want the Z chipset with a K SKU CPU anyway).

The 8700K uses the same socket as 7th gen, so they're physically compatible, but they're not electrically compatible (or rather, they kind of are, but they don't work with 100 or 200 series chipsets.
