Hey guys,

with these pictures i want to share the building process of my desk-pc case with you. It took me about a half year to build it, some planning mistakes included (production tolerances can be a b****, unnecessary stuff bought and so forth...) The goal was to build a system with superior cooling power for very silent operation and enough cooling capacity for future upgrades. The frame of the case is made from aluminium profiles which are connected with t-shaped sliding blocks, the panels are made from aluminium sheets. For the cutouts in the metal sheets i asked a local company to do them with their lasercutter. The shelfs for the mainboard tray (from a lian li case) are made from 5mm aluminium sheets, the panels are 2 mm. To protect the radiators from cat hairs and my feet i bought some hexagonal perforated sheet. All the parts are black powder coated.

The reservoir is under the corner in the back right and it is easy accessible. My drainport is on a t-splitter on the left radiator.

A picture from the side. I have 2 case fans on each side and one in the back to create some airflow for the mainboard and the other internal components.

thank you :),

it took me a while to start this project, because i knew that it would be much work and almost everyting must be planed and created by myself. The company with their lasercutter and their bending machine was very helpful.

In the end i think it was totaly worth it.

wow, very impressive. it seems you got the proper tools and skills to build something like that. I did just create some drawings and put the profiles from the frame together, but all the bending, cutting and powdercoating did the company for me.

I had a lot of help from a great friend who has most of the technical skill and tools to do it. I learned a lot semi-learned how to tig weld but kept failing so I let the pro take over haha. I'd love to do it again if I am honest, except build the case into the desk.

  • 4 months later...

Today i added my old XSPC RX360 V3 to my loop. I had to change the rear panel of my case by moving the Mo-Ra`s 20mm to each side and create a new hole for the 360 radiator. Now i have 2520 mm of radiatorspace.
