Should I wait for Volta?

Hello everyone! I have a simple question really, should I wait for volta for the new GTX 2080? At the moment i'm upgrading my old PC by getting the following specs. 

Prime x299 A
Intel i9 7900X
NZXT Kraken x72 AIO
Fractal Design Meshify C
Corsair 120 / 140 ML fans
NVMe SSD 960 PRO 
G.Skill Trident Z RGB Ram (64gb)

The only thing im keeping from my old build is my Corsair RM 850 PSU and my GTX 780. Now I want to upgrade to the GTX 1080 TI but im wondering if I should wait and see what GTX 2080 has to offer when its announced and release. Give me your thoughts! Thank you!
