GPU Artifacting

So I'm running a GTX 980ti and every so often I get multi colored lines that pop up across random parts of the screen. It happens during gaming and idling on the screen. I was just wondering if it had anything to do with vrm overheating or anything. It's an EVGA 980ti with an ACX 2 cooler.

 

Specs:

i7 4790k

AX760i PSU

ASUS Z97-A

EVGA 980ti ACX2

no voltage changes.

id try turning off the overclock, just to see if its that
