Does Intel WiDi work on Nvidia Gpus

Title says it all... Can I connect my PC to a Smart TV over WiDi on GTX 1050 ti

I think (this is an assumption) that if you have an Intel CPU there should be no problems.

Nvidia experts say I can only use Nvidia gamestream  to shield TV and not Samsung TV
