Video file repairing

Hi guys, im wondering if anyone can recommend any software that repairs video files specifically files that refuse to skip forward and back when watching.

Just because a video file does not skip forward or backward doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong with the file I don't think.  What I would think is that maybe there is a problem with the video software you are using when watching the file.

What I was trying to point out but you obviously missed was/is the problem was/is not the player, but the file.  It doesn't matter what player you use to watch the video file if the file itself is screwed up.  So, if you download a video file that is screwed up, then instead of complaining about not having the software to fix the file, why not try downloading the file from a different source?  I have noticed that a lot of people come to the forums looking for answers to their problems and then when they receive an answer they don't like, they condemn the person that is trying to help.  If that is the problem, then why not do a google search and try to fix the problem on your own without bitching about the answer(s) you receive here.
