I'm going to put together a good and powerful gaming PC and I was thinking about these components :

 

Phanteks Evolv ATX TG

Intel 8700K

Asus Maximus X Code

NZXT Kraken X72

G.Skill TridentZ 2x8GB 3200MHz Cl14

EVGA GTX1080 FTW

EVGA Supernova G3 750W

Samsung 960 EVO 250GB

Samsung 850 EVO 1TB

Asus PG348Q

Ooooo yes. That rig should be dope. I helped my cousin make a rig sporting an i7 8700K, EVGA 1080 SC, and 16GB 3200Mhz RAM. It's a beast, he plays at 144Hz 1080p and has had 0 problems AFAIK.

Yeah, I think that this will be good enough for most games and tasks. I'm holding this build because I want to see what AMD has to offer with Zen 2 now, maybe that route will be a better one :)

What do you guys think? 

I would rather go with a cheaper board and cooler and drop the 960 EVO if it meant getting a 1080 ti was possible.
