MXM Extender

Hello Linus

 

Did you had a chance to stumble on MXM cable extender?

I'm trying to build a Frame PC from my old Alienware M17x r2

I'm looking for some tips how to extend graphics connections so I can mount them on the frame itself and how to cool everything with new more powerful and awesome RGB fans

I hope I will just make awesome Frame PC from my old Laptop so I can connect it to my TV and make it more useful

that doesn't exist simply because why would anybody ever build that. you're probably the one guy that thought of needing it.

you don't really need it either you have the connectors at the edges of the chassis as you would with an IO shield, and you'll be able to use them now? stick some bid rads on it and you're golden

You can get extenders, but they are a very specialized piece of hardware.  You will be lucky to find any unless you dig around alot or know some people in the systems engineering field.

 

Even then, they will likely bee too expensive to use in a build unless you find some that are getting scrapped.
