Macbook Air help

I got a macbook air for school and Editing photos while im out, I was on reddit doing an Edit my Raw. but ive noticed when I export in DNG, It doesnt upload edited or preview edited, when i export in JPEG It shows edited and i can send an edited copy. I Use Lightroom.
