Hi Everyone,

I am planning to build a A$3000 (Australian Dollars) PC, just for gaming and very light photoshop and editing work i came up with 2 builds both with the same cost but with some differences.

This is the first build a made without any reshearch

- 1 × EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC Gaming ACX 3.0 8GB Video Card SKU# AB83773
- 1 × Intel Core i7 8700K Hex Core LGA 1151-2 3.70 GHz Unlocked CP... SKU# AC08625
- 1 × NZXT Source S340 Elite ATX Mid-Tower Case - Matte White SKU# AB93108
- 1 × Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA III 6GB/s 3D V-NAND SSD MZ-7... SKU# AB59174
- 1 × EVGA SuperNOVA 750W G2 80+ Gold Modular Power Supply SKU# AB58319
- 1 × G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3200Mhz Memory SKU# AB94981
- 1 × Corsair Hydro Series H115i 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid ... SKU# AB73335
- 1 × MSI Z370 GAMING PRO CARBON AC LGA 1151-2 ATX Motherboard SKU# AC08910

This is the second with a bit more research

- 1 × NZXT Source S340 Elite ATX Mid-Tower Case - Matte White SKU# AB93108
- 1 × ASRock Z370 Extreme4 LGA 1151-2 ATX Motherboard SKU# AC10655
- 1 × Intel Core i5 8600K Hex Core LGA 1151-2 3.60 GHz Unlocked CP... SKU# AC08623
- 1 × Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5" SATA III 6GB/s 3D V-NAND SSD MZ-7... SKU# AB59174
- 1 × Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 3333MHz Memory SKU# AB69763
- 1 × Corsair Hydro Series H115i 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid ... SKU# AB73335
- 1 × ASUS GeForce GTX 1080 Ti ROG Strix Gaming OC 11GB Video Card SKU# AC03294
- 1 × EVGA SuperNOVA 650W G1+ 80 Plus Gold Modular Power Supply SKU# AC11859

Still i am no expert in pc building and any advice would help, like Memory and Motherboard i am not to sure about, but i heard they are good also i have a 2tb HD so i wont buy one for now.

What are your recommendations, should i go for the second one?

Thanks

Usse au.pcpartpicker.com. You can override prices and enter custom parts if necessary.

I did and i can get some cheaper prices, but i have to buy from multiple vendors and also pay shipping all separate.so i decide to go to one store and buy all with them. They both cost the same, but they have different parts as you notice.

The point of using pcpartpicker is that you can post a nicely formatted list that is easy to read and play around with. You can limit the merchant and, as I said in my previous post, override pricing.

Frankly, I didn't bother reading the OP part lists as the list fonts are too small.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

This is what I would recommend, it is not worth the money to go for 8700k if u are planning to game so just stick with 8600k. Also I assumed u liked rgb so I chose RGB ram sticks and nice efficient rgb cpu liquid cooler. Btw asrock extreme4 is perfect mb for that money, no need to go higher.
