Hello people of LinusTechTips! I need some advice on getting a new case that I might use to upgrade my rig after I get money from christmas. I was thinking of getting a Corsair H100i in either of them, and running an Asus DC2 GTX 770 that I might SLI in the future. Sound is not too much of an issue, but the noise might interfere with me recording game commentaries. The three cases I had in mind was the Corsair 750D, the Corsair 540R, or the Fractal Design Define R4 with the window. It would be awesome if someone could figure out which one to get :P (Might watercool in the future, but probably not)

Don't get an H100i if you get the Air 540 or 750D. You may as well get a Swiftech H320.

Air 540 has great airflow (see: Air in name) and will be good for the dual 770s, so long as you have a good amount of space between the PCI-E slots.

Arc Midi R2. Great airflow for systems with multiple graphics cards. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/fractal-design-case-fdcaarcr2blw

The 750D and 540 Air are also great if you don't mind large cases.

The Define R4 is fine but the lack of cooling may be an issue if you want the 770s' to perform optimally.

Can't really find the H320 anywhere online :P and I plan on not doing stupid overcloking on my cpu (Which will most likely be an i5 4670K and might be overclocked to around 4.3-4.5 ghz) Even if the h320 is avaible, it might be a little bit too expensive.

The corsair air 540 really does look like a good case, but the 750d is calling me with it's sexy aluminum front :P however, cooling in the 750d is not as good :/

Meh, the arc midi r2 looks ok, not really a huge fan of the look, but still a decent case

I just got the 750d I love it best case I have had cable management is easy with all the space behind the mobo. and so many options for cooling and it just looks so slick with the huge window

Nice! The 750D was actually the first case i considered getting with it's nice, awesome look! :D Until I saw people modding the shit out of their define r4s on the build logs thread :/ .

The Corsair Obsidan 550D is as quiet as the Define R4. By removing drive cages the airflow in either case can be improved. There is also the Define XL R2, a bigger case with more options for water cooling.

I'm not a fan of the looks either but some people love it.

So does anyone else want to voice their opinion? Still can't decide :P I don't need a silent case, as sound is not as much as a concern to me as cooling. My computer as of now is pretty quiet, but due to poor cable management and lack of cooling in my current case, I have a feeling it's on the verge of blowing up

EDIT: I think I have decided that I am going to definitely water cool in the future, which means I am gonna narrow it down to the 750d and the air 540

Not to into the looks of the phantom, especially with all of the plastic on the outside of the cae :P

I'm not trying to talk you into or out of anything, just presenting possibilities. I don't think you've stated a preference for a window or not. If not, did you look at the Nzxt H630, http://www.nzxt.com/product/detail/120-H630.html? It's a full tower with all metal exterior.

Eew NZXT cases *shudder*

If you are planning to watercool go with the 750d over the 540 imo, although both are alright.

I'm not doing some stupid watercooling with multiple radiators, but I think I will go with the 750d simply because it looks awesome! :P

If you want quiet, go with the Define R4.

Good case. I've considered too. Here's a pretty good review of it. Hardware Canucks are just the best when it comes to cases review.

But now I think I'll get a Define R2 XL Black Pearl. Here's the review. Not the black version but still...
