it's true, it doesn't.  BUT....

A few years back I did this and I was RELIGIOUS about putting everything EXACTLY as I had it in the old case.  I also upgraded PSUs at the time and replaced ALL of the cables while changing things over.  

Just put everything back like it was, and you'll be fine.
