Thanks I never really used embedded option... mainly because i used to use memtest to have something outside of windows environment. 

I was just wondering if there was any new go to programs out there really. It's been awhile.  8)

you could run memtest86 on loop all night long, wake up to no errors and still run into memory errors a few days later.

Memtest and similar implementations, repeat the rutine: Write, read, write, read. It's mostly a stress free implementation and acomplishes this exact thing: Test if memory can hold data without corruption.

 

Sadly memory can fail for different things that become apparent with high CPU usage and heat build up.

Its ok to perform a full memtest on non-ecc ram, just know its limitations.
