I have been overclocking my Mobile CPU for quite a while now (Over a year) and I have yet to figure out what the cause of this is..

Different benchmarks seem to draw significantly more power than others; I'm talking 20+ watts more. I ran Cinebench and my usage is around 45 watts and my overclock shows little improvement. Where as in Linx/Intel Burn in test, my CPU draws up to 65 watts.

Why the HUGE fluctuations in power consumption? Anybody have any idea?

I'm not exactly sure but, CineBench uses the CPU to render than GPU. Don't Quote me though.

I believe they are just using raytrace which can be accelerated by the GPU but they chose to use the CPU instead. 3dsmax/blender can do the same thing. Anyways, It's just weird to me because the multiplier is exactly the same yet the power usage differs. I'll post a pic in another reply.
