health scans have always shown drives be in good working order for me even when a past drive was clicking like mad (1 click every 1-2 seconds)

I would back up data and replace the drive personally.

hi, i think my HDD is dying a slow death, whats happening is the computer will lock up, then blue screen. when it boot cycles the HDD wont be detected by UEFI even after loads of resets, however if i turn the power supply off and wait about a minute the drive boots no problem. the drive does make weird noises. but im thinking. if i could source another PCB for the drive would that fix the issue as it seems it my just be power delivery. or will it be the internals failing?

Sounds like it could be a faulty SATA port or cable, or possibly a dying drive. Just to be sure, I would back up data and run a disk health scan.
