Hi all -

Partway through my first build I've run into an issue with the I/o shield on my Asus Prime z370-p - please help me decipher the solution!

The "tension"(?) Arm on the ethernet port of the shield gets in the way and I have no idea what to do:

Many thanks for your help!

You were most likely supposed to remove that before you installed the io shield, just like all the other annoying metal bits. Ethernet ports don't have tension arms.

It's common to have to bend those metal pieces in order to get things to fit right or you could just break them off for the ethernet port if you just don't even care :P
