Need help! Chrome "ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR"

So it started a few days ago, I suddenly got this error message: ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR when trying to access certain websites (they are all safe websites) and my twitch doesnt work either. It stopped working around the same time I got this error message.

Firefox is working fine, however edge, internet explorer and chrome all give me this message.

I have tried guides on the internet, but nothing has worked. A tech friend of mine said It's probably a virus and that's when I freaked out. Any help or information regarding this is very much appreciated!

-Thanks

This is something to do with google chrome, a lot of people have been facing the same issue.

Use firefox until it is resolved (if you desperately need to use those sites)

It's not a virus as far I know. It can be caused by a lot of things like: SSL state, QUIC Protocol and so on.

Try these out, one at a time so that you find out what's causing the issue.

Try reinstalling Windows, that should fix. If not donate that PC to me

Tried all of those things, yeah I will use firefox for now since I use twitch daily. Thanks anyway.

Check your Internet Proxy Settings...They should be under "Network & Internet."

Also, try using just the http website and not the https website.

for example: http://www.google.com vs. https://www.google.com

Didnt work!

Check your Anti-Virus software. Try disabling the firewall for a short period (i.e. 10 minutes or less).

Also, check to make sure that your system time & date is correct.

Another thing to check would be your internet provider. Are you able to test with a secondary provider? Perhaps using a hotspot or tethering function from a smart device with a data plan?

Pretty much there could be many reasons as to why you received an SSL Error.

Checked

Checked and correct

Nope (but I dont think it got nothing to do with that, considering that my moms laptop works browsing those websites with chrome)

So you don't think it's a virus? I'm very careful when I browse, and I'm not dumb and I never click any suspicous links. I didnt think it was a virus, rather something with chrome. But then my friend said "it's proabably a virus" and I freaked out. So what do you think?

I doubt it's a virus. Chrome has some glitches with SSL. I thought you said it was happening on everything but Firefox.

If another laptop is working fine on the same network, then you are right. It can't be the provider.

What websites are you trying to get to?

If you are able to get to this site (i.e. linustechtips.com) then you are most likely using an SSL certificate as this site is an HTTPS enabled site.

I couldnt access my communities website here: https://forum.tehwarriors.net/

As well as some other websites I cannot give you. :

Not entirely sure what you said there with SSL certificate and HTTPS enabled site. :P

It is happening on everything (IE, chrome, edge) but firefox. Firefox is working fine and it's what I'm currently using since my chrome wasnt working.
