Looks ok but, get the Ryzen 3 1200- it's cheaper+ you can overclock on your Mobo up to 1300X speeds. The rest of the build looks good, but i'd also invest in some higher clocked RAM (3000 mhz?)

I can overclock the 1200 on the stock cooler, right?

Don't go with the 1300x....get a 2400g

Here's a build I've built fr u considering ur budget-

[PCPartPicker part list](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/zy3Lr6) / [Price breakdown by merchant](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/list/zy3Lr6/by_merchant/)

**CPU** | [AMD - Ryzen 5 2400G 3.6GHz Quad-Core Processor](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/FGPKHx/amd-ryzen-5-2400g-36ghz-quad-core-processor-yd2400c5fbbox) | €161.59 @ Alza

**Motherboard** | [Asus - STRIX B350-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/ZHyxFT/asus-strix-b350-f-gaming-atx-am4-motherboard-strix-b350-f-gaming) | €113.77 @ Amazon Deutschland

**Memory** | [G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3200 Memory](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/zgJkcf/gskill-memory-f43200c16d8gvk) | €106.68 @ Amazon Deutschland

**Storage** | [Seagate - FireCuda 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Hybrid Internal Hard Drive](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/NpBrxr/seagate-firecuda-2tb-35-7200rpm-hybrid-internal-hard-drive-st2000dx002) | €94.90 @ Caseking

**Case** | [Corsair - SPEC-01 RED ATX Mid Tower Case](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/pDphP6/corsair-case-spec01redled) | €54.45 @ Mindfactory

**Power Supply** | [Corsair - CXM 550W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply](https://de.pcpartpicker.com/product/3hkwrH/corsair-power-supply-cp9020102na) | €72.74 @ Alza
 | *Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts* |
 | **Total** | **€604.13**
 | Generated by [PCPartPicker](http://pcpartpicker.com)

Reason fr selecting these parts-

Chose 2400g over 1300x because of it's better clock speed nd better igpu. mind u..the integrated graphics of 2400g is strong enough to run any game at 1080p low-medium settings.

Fr ram, I went with the faster memory. Ryzen systems r faster if it has faster dual channel memory.

I myself don't prefer MSI fr motherboards coz they HV low quality caps nd VRMs. Asus is pretty good in making motherboards.

Also ditched the SSD nd HDD nd went with a 2 tb Seagate firecuda hybrid SSHD. it is a mix of SSD nd HDD...so u can get best of both the worlds.

This build is about €600 which means u HV €400 headroom fr a decent gpu.

Current gpu prices r way too high. I woul recommend u to buy something used like a GTX 970/980/980ti/780ti. They would provide excellent price to performance in ur case.

SSD TIER LIST

CPU - Ryzen 7 3700X

Mobo - ASRock X470 Taichi

Memory - G.Skill Trident Z RGB (8x2 3200MHz)

Storage - Sabrent Rocket 1TB - Seagate Barracuda 2TBWD Black 1TB

GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 980Ti LIGHTNING

CaseFractal Design Meshify C

Why? No gpu??? The vega integrated gpu is weak, worse than the GT1030. 2400G, while being a better processor he will see little to no difference in gaming with this cpu. The motherboard, it quite overpriced. I agree that their MSI is not the prime choice, but for a budget rig I would not pick a strix product. And, SSHD's aren't worth it. No matter the caliber of the build, it should have at least a 120GB fully-fledged SSD.

I HV written above to get a used 970/980/980ti/780ti....

I HV not included any because of their out of world prices.

Above mentioned build is of €600

So U hv €400 fr getting a decent gpu

980ti go around fr €220-250

Use the rest Money to get an SSD nd switch that firecuda with WD blue if needed.

I do understand. And I agree with the 970/980 part. But getting a strix mobo and R5 2400G isn't really sensible. He's better off with a cheaper mobo and a first gen ryzen.

I agree, noone should use a 50$ mobo. Asus does em' best, but something like this is good enough:

Why suggest the R5 2400G when the R5 1400 is cheaper ? Even the superior R5 1600 is only another 17 Euros. It makes no sense to buy an APU when you already have a dedicated gpu.

Most builds I see use an MSI mobo and the MSI mobo's fit my theme well. Also, the mobo you adviced me doesnt do well on pcpartpicker....

Well, believe me, community reputation isn't really the truth very often. Please, if you don't like the style, just pick a different asus or gigabyte motherboard, the price permium will pay off in the long run
