Best used multitasking laptop?

Hello LTT -

 

Need recommendations for a laptop with versatility in mind.

 

Must have:

 

1 or more HDD bays (could always just partition one large drive but it's always good to have 2 physical drives)

DVD/RW drive

SATA III interface ("huh?" you must be thinking. well currently i'm typing this on a 12 year old dell so something faster than SATA I would be nice)

nice selection of USB ports (2.0 is just fine)

screen doesn't matter really, can't be $#!% tho

 

currently i'm using a dell inspiron 6400 w/2gb ram and some old core 2 duo that i snatched up on craigslist for $25. used to cost $3k back in the days of '06.. i digress. using linux mint xfce. i like to carry my media around with me so having ultimate flexibility but not spending an ultimate price is what i'm after.

 

any suggestions are welcome

I'm partial to the Latitude E6410 right now, but I really want to get my hands on an E6420 if the price is right. Covers pretty much all your needs, and Amazon is littered with optical drive to 2.5" drive adapters to get your second physical drive in there.
