i got a old alienware desktop r1 aurora with i7 920 and it haves 970 with sanddisk ssd with water cooler?

can all socket for LGA1366 Socket, ATX fit the same cpu and all the things it original came from build with out replacing everything?

if i update the motherboard can i still re use the same cpu?

i see there xeons like the 2 Xeons E5620 or one Xeon x5650  which one is more cheaper one or two cpu and how hard to find new motherboard for this and sata 6?

The socket will physically support other LGA 1366 CPUs, but some may require a BIOS update in order to actually work, such as some of the Xeons you mentioned.

 

You can reuse the CPU as long as you get a newer LGA1366 motherboard.

 

Finding a new motherboard for LGA1366 could go two ways, you can get an overpriced one on Ebay(as most of the tech there is overpriced), or scour your local listings on Craigslist for hours hunting for a deal. Finding one on Ebay is obviously going to be easier, but it'll usually be a better deal to look on Craigslist.

can dual lga 1366 cpu motherboard  work with one or do i need two

You will most likely need two. I've got a system running dual Athlon MP 2000+ CPUs and that didn't work with just one installed.
