So I have a SanDisk Cruzer Fit 2.0 USB that is giving me a headache. I don't need to recover the data of the drive, I just need to get it working again. The issue is, the disk is corrupted. Now the real issue is, it has a read-only protection on it. I have visually checked for the stupid lock switch, and it doesn't have one. In diskpart, when I list the attributes of the disk, it shows read-only as "NO" HOWEVER, the Current Read-Only State is "YES".

So I thought I would run the tool chkdsk on that drive, and yet, I get more errors. It says that chkdsk cannot run on a RAW partition.

I am at a loss. I don't know what to look for, and I haven't seen a USB drive act like this in my time of working in IT. Usually, when a USB fails, it just won't even show up in the system. My suspension is the drive has failed.

Looking at the ROI (return on investment), the cost of your time on this problem is now far exceeding the cost of a SanDisk Cruzer Fit 2.0 USB.

I would consider the device dead and move on.  I know that isn't very helpful, but economically, you have spent too much time on fixing it.  Especially if you don't want to keep the data on it.
