So I've thought about buying a second monitor and during my search I've found two monitors that fit my requirements.

- 27"

- 1080p

- anything that isn't TN panel

- price around 200€

First one is iiyama XB2783HSU-B3 27"

Second one is BenQ BL2706HT 27"

I found other monitors that would fit the requirements but they didn't do well in tests. Now, I'm not the most picky guy on earth but damn am I hard at choosing. The monitors I chose so far did well in their respective tests and my dad had good experiences with the iiyama at work, however, I kind of like the BenQ's design more altought I don't know much more about how well it does. I'm torn apart. Anyone of you got any experiences to share that could help me choose? Or would you even suggest different monitors at the same price point?

PS: I know it's dumb to ask for help when the problem is mostly on me but just roll with it plz. I need confirmation.

Pick whichever one looks visually better to you, and is reputable

Dell S2715H

I'm somewhat biased as I love Dell monitors, but that's my recommendation. It's about £190 here, so you should be able to find it around 200 EUR. I don't think anyone else really comes close to Dell when it comes to sleek monitor design, though that BenQ monitor does look similar.

EDIT: Looks like the link from PCPP is actually wrong, it's not the S2715H. The one it links to is actually an SE2717H, which is still good. I would look for the S2715H to see if you can find it within budget, but the SE2717H is also good.

Looks nice but sadly shipping that model seems a bit iffy and prices are 40-60 € above what I'd want to pay here.

In that case, I'd go for the BenQ between the two you listed. BenQ is generally reliable (as is Iiyama TBH), but the design of the BenQ seems nicer to me.

Seems like the Iiyama monitor uses a variation of the VA panel, so blacks should be better, but the IPS on the BenQ should give better colour reproduction. To be honest, I've never really seen too much of a difference between VA and IPS panels, but I haven't had too much time to compare them side by side. Both should look good though (at least, better than TN)

I guess I'll have to just order one of them and send it back if I dislike something about it.
