Pcpartpicker list would be nice, but I wouldn't get sky lake right now. Go for Ryzen or coffee lake

his/her question was have any new titles been released that would change the requirements, not "Can my pc run vr"...

that being said, no, you will probably be fine... not many titles have been released yet, at least for HTC VIVE.

yea he already has them, he just made a gramatical error.

it says:

I'm planning on buying an oculus rift and from my understanding my build, an i5 6500 and an Rx 480 4gb, is capable of driving it.

what it should say:

I'm planning on buying an oculus rift, and from my understanding my build, (an i5 6500 and an Rx 480 4gb), is capable of driving it.
