Desktop PC randomly shuts down while gaming

praxxyyy

As stated in title, my PC randomly shuts itself down while I play video games (LoL, CS:GO, Fortnite). I have updated all the drivers including the BIOS.

I recently installed a new GPU, and the shutdowns have occured ever since. The driver of the previously installed GPU are deinstalled (MSI Radeon R9 270X).

The Windows event viewer spits out the following numbers after each shutdown:

  • GPU: Zotac GeForce GTX 150 Ti Mini

This could be sign of the PSU failing.

PSU failing, or overhating.

shutdown with no bsod?

if so its probably a hardware issue, could be psu, gpu, motherboard, ram.

considering that this started with a new gpu, i would say psu or the gpu was defective, could also be overheating, too much heat in the case with the bigger gpu
