New Laptop

Hello everyone,

 

I am in the market to get a new laptop.  My budget is around 800 - 1300 U.S dollars and the intended use would be for college (computer science) and light intensity gaming (League of Legends/ Rocket League).  I prefer a 8th gen processor due to being more future proof than a 7th gen intel, although I am not opposed to AMD processors.  I do not require touch screen or 2 in 1, although not opposed to them either.  I am at a lost when it comes to choosing one because I would like a well built computer due to my old one having great specs but dying in 2 years.  Any suggestions would be extremely helpful!

Dell's Inspiron Gaming laptops are pretty great. I had the 7559 for a while, and it treated me well. I don't know if they've rolled out 8th gen refreshes yet, but when they do that would be my suggestion.

I think I am looking for something more portable, I didn't add it in there but I'm looking for 15.6 screen or less if possible.  But thank you I do agree that laptop is a pretty decent gaming laptop.
