I have an acer es11-131 laptop with low powered pentium n3710 cpu....... i bought an samsung 850 evo for this. laptop. since it is extremely slow. but thelaptop is heavily bottlenecking the ssd with 4k QD1 read at about 30 MB/s. iam not getting about premium performance for premium price... i removed the drive and placed it in desktop..now it is performing super fast......i noticed this laptop doesn't deserve this drive LOL

Can someone helpme to pick a slow cheap ssd drive with around the performance so that my laptop wont bottleneck it...?

i mean honestly even your laptop is not gonna run that 4k benchmark well even without bottleneck

Since evo 850 has the fastest among sata drives ... my laptop can max out at 30-31 MB/s... i guess that is its maximum 4k performance the laptopcan deliver .... i am looking for a drive that has 4k read of that range... i guess

I would just find the cheapest but still reliable drive you can for it and not worry about it having unused potential.

*Also the 850 Pro should be faster, and the 860 Evo/Pro launched so that crown has been taken (Also the MX500 seems to also be faster in benchmarks too)

Found a crucial mx300 on Amazon (Link) there, though it seems to be priced the same as an 850 Evo :S From my minimal glimpse it seems like another 850 Evo may be the best price/perf there. (At least on Amazon, would need to check other places)
