i3 or i5 ?

I want to upgade my pc, should i get an i3 8100 and z370 or just an i5 7500?

its a h110 motherboard and its not compatible with 8th gen cpu :(

Then I would try and get a second hand i5, it'll cost less than a new 8th gen i3 system and it's basically the same performance if not better.
