So recently my PC of about 4 years has started to restart during gaming. Thing is its pretty random, I'll go days with no restarts during sessions of gaming then it might restart 10+ times in a row only letting me get as far as the opening menu usually. Issue has been persisting for a couple of weeks and seems to be getting worse.

I dont get any sort of BSOD it simply freezes for a second or two and then restarts.

I was thinking it was my PSU and when I used the OCCT PSU test my 12v rail was sitting on 11v, however when I used a multimeter on a molex plug it read 12.08v. The 5v rail was on 5.04v. Also worth noting is the fan on my RM850 doesn't spin up during these crashes so my system must not be drawing more than 400 or so watts during them, or the fan is on the fritz.

I've used the windows memory diagnostic and got 0 errors.

Ran prime95 to stress my CPU with no issue.

Ran Furmark a few times on the 1080p preset again with no issue.

I've tried moving games between drives, updating drivers, checking temps, defragging drives, registry cleanup, malware scans, and basically everything else I can think of but can't find any errors nor can i consistently replicate the restarts outside of when it wants to restart. Also messed around with V-sync and framerate targets again with no success.

I've used MSI afterburner to monitor the CPU and GPU and nothing seems to spike when it crashes. Used afterburner to reduce the power limit and reduce the clock speed of my GPU to no success either. I've attached a shot of the GPU+CPU usage at the moment it crashed.

I'm fairly certain that it's my PSU or GPU kicking the bucket but not sure how to troubleshoot further without just purchasing one of the two parts (and potentially getting it wrong). Are there more effective tools for testing for these things?

Don't really have access to parts to swap in or out since I live about 200km away from most of my mates or I would be troubleshooting like that.

Any help would be appreciated!

CPU: 4770k (no overclock with H100i)

PSU: CORSAIR RM850

Maybee you have the old spectre fix, accoding to https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2018/01/new-windows-patch-disables-intels-bad-spectre-microcode-fix/ it caused machines to reboot

This could be the solution, unfortunately I can't get on to the microsoft update catalog for some reason, just stuck in a continual loading loop. Even attempted to use IE, it hurt.
