notebook sound not working

this isn't my computer, its my moms. she has a ASUS X541NA-PD1003Y NOTEBOOK C

 

on the bottom right on the audio symbol it says ' no audio output device installed', the automated system said to restart PC to apply the fix, did that and nothing happened. I don't think it has the drivers. Help plz
