ok so i asked before about the technologies invovled but i thought id open a more general question:

What specific tv to get?

must be 55" (as it is the biggest i can go because of space limitations)

i do want my netflix and co. on there (wther native or threw hdmi from pc) so im not sure but i guess i need some sort of hdcp support right

and then of course best image quality i can get for around 10 to lets say 1600 bucks (euro that is)

something i thought about(and could need advice on):

oled has burn in (dont know how bad of a problem that is though)

ambilight sounds nice but seems more like a gimmick the more i read about it

android tv = no chromecast needed?

unlike monitors, tv manufacturers seems to not want to show their tv`s birghtness in numbers (no cd/m³?)

hdr yes hdr no if so which one ? this is all very freaking confusing so i ignore it and rely on user experiences with overall image quality

"You know it'll clock down as soon as it hits 40°C, right?" - "Yeah ... but it doesnt hit 40°C ... ever  😄"

check out rtings.com they do all kinds of tests on TV's covering many aspects including things like brightness of the actual unit and all that.

OLED Burn in should only be an issue for static images, like if you use the TV as a computer screen, if you are super concerned with OLED burn in the next best black levels are the Samsung Qleds which I saw for the first time last weekend, the black levels where much better then the LG LED TV's (but most everything beats them), but to be honest the room in the store was brightly lit so I couldn't properly see just how black the blacks where, but Highend Samsung models always have some of the best black levels compared to other brands.

read it. found it very informative.thanks. but...rtings has top rated models that arent even available here and for some reason i always have to fish for the sister product like e.g. the lg b7a is not available here only b7d and v and so on so ill need to check where the differences are and same thing for sonys xe900E/930E for some reason europe oly gets 9005 and 9305 seems to be the same but surely if it was they would not have different names

You are correct. They do tend to differentiate certain features between geographies/countries, but the main items are often left unchanged.
