As the search option is still bricked I will ask this question. I'm sorry if it has been asked many times before.

If you are bored of this topic then please don't read it.

Question. I currently have a Gigabyte GM-M6880 mouse that fits my hand very well and has the perfect number of buttons for me and only cost about €15.00.

Huge problem with this mouse though.  When you lift it to move back to the middle of the mouse mat it still moves the pointer on the screen unless you lift it over three inches.

Does anyone know a good budget mouse that would not do this.  I know a good mouse would be at least €50 but there must be some half way decent budget options as well.

For all you mouse snobs out there, if I had the cash I would buy an Roccat but I don't.

Nothing to see here - move along.

Have you been using it in the 1600 dpi move?

The Mionix is still £50.00. Not really a "budget" option.

I have no idea. How would I know ?

There should be a button on the mouse. I think it's the one next to the scroll wheel that toggles it from 800/1600 dpi. you might need to download the driver from their website if it isn't working. http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2896#dl

Sorry accidentally thought your budget was €50 :P

Look around for a refurb version of your desired mouse? What is your budget

I use it on 1600 but the problem is there on both settings.

Tape thing did not work, one layer no different, two layers mouse did not work.

Nothing to see here - move along.

Yes it is but it is still over £40.00

My friend has the G500 and OMG.

G400>G500.

Save up a little more. A mouse will last you quiet a while, it's not like you'll be paying for another one soon. Might as well get one that you are 100% satisfied with.
