Hi, I'm looking for a new headset for my desktop. Got a budget of 50 USD(counting shipping) and was wondering what I should get.

Obviously not looking for the best, but I did come across some that seemed rather good:

Logitech G430

Sades Spirit Wolf

(recommended by a friend) Envel G2000.

I know all of these are a ways under my max budget, but I don't want to spend too much to start off with, just something that'll get the job done and sound good.

Thanks in advance!

G430 is good bang for the buck. But I would recommand you get a cheap usb mic with decent headphones instead which can be the following :

I don't need the mic as much as the headphones themselves, I use my laptop or phone for all my voice needs but I do like to have it just in case I call from my desktop(plus it takes up less space on my already cluttered desk). Thanks for the recommendation though!

If you do not care about the mic, buy real headphone ... IMO they are better, but sound is really subjective... one thing you could do is go to the store the try some then go on from there !

If you are not in need of a MIC then go with a decent set of headphones and you wont be disappointed.

I have heard good things about these two headphones they are slightly over your budget by about 10.00-20.00$ but you will be very pleased with the comfort and sound that comes out of them:

https://www.amazon.com/Status-Audio-Closed-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B01BDX1IVW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1516496253&sr=8-1&keywords=cb1

Personally have tried the xpt 100's and they are so comfortable.

Just save yourself and buy a proper headphone any "headset" will honestly sound like crap in comparison especially at that price range.  the AT m20's suggested earlier would also be a good pic to get you started with.

Good luck!

cheers!
