Graphics card shortlisting

Hi, 

I am making a productivity workstation for myself, I have shortlisted

1. AMD Ryzen 5 1600 Proc,

2. Corsair LPX 2x8GB DDR4 2666MHz C16 for Systems 8 PC4 21300

3. ASUS Prime B350-Plus AM4

4. Graphic have to decide

 

pls help me in the 4th one, since I have chosen a 2666MHz ram I'm not able to decide on the GPU.

Hey can you clarify what kind of apps you plan on using? ex. Adobe suite? autocad? maya?

what do you need the GPU for? just for video outputs? for gpu acceleration? for gaming?

what software are you going to be using? does the software benefit more from OpenGL? openCL? Cuda?

 

EDIT: also whats your budget for the gpu?

I don't need GPU for heavy gaming, not a gamer, kind of nerd

for video rendering literally anything made in the last 5 years should get you equal performance with anything else made in that time span, don't have enough experience with VMs or app dev to say if gpu is gonna matter there...

any maxwell gpu will do you just fine. i recommend a 970 or 980, theyre good for the price atm
