I hooked up a relatively old "HD ready" TV to my PC via HDMI.

The default image post processing totally ruined the image, but I could turn those off.

On the other hand even after messing around with all kinds of settings the image is blurry, which is especially annoying on text.

Nvidia control panel reports that the native resolution of the TV is 1080i, but after googling the product number (orion lcd t19-dled) that says it's 1366x768.

I tried both, and many other, and text was blurry on all of them.

Any idea what could I try to do to fix it?

"HD Ready" means it's 1366×768, it just pretends that it is 1080 so that the device connected to it sends a 1080 image, and it's downscaled to 1366×768.

Can you show us what the options are set to in the NVIDIA control panel in the "Change Resolution" section, particularly the bottom part (output color format, etc.)
