Hey guys

A bit of a long story, but I've got an RX 480, which has been running fine for a while, but the last few days have been so frustrating.  loading the OS and word processing would be perfect, until I load any game, then the display driver would crash, freezing my PC, and causing me to reboot, very recently it's been getting a lot worse and more frequent, so I contacted AMD, and their only response was to reload windows. before i go and reload my PC, I put the card into another PC to make sure it wasn't any other component, but that PC just wouldn't boot at all, I then put the card back into my PC, and everything is normal, with no problems!

Do you guys have any idea what was happening before, and why removing and reinstalling the card would help??!!?

Side note, I have messed around with the driver, as in rolling back, updating, DDU'ing the whole thing, all of which didn't make any difference what so ever.

Thank You in advance

No idea how that suddenly got 'fixed' but I had this with a GTX780 once and had to RMA it because I couldn't possibly find a fix. Luckily Asus support is pretty good and sent me a new one, even though it took 6 weeks and I bought a 970 in the meantime, lol.

Yeah, it's got me totally confused, i just don't get how it would start working again after removing and re-adding it!

Thanks anyway
