Streaming software for iOS?

I have a Android phone and i use AirStream to watch movies off my PC on my phone while I'm at home but I want to do the same on my iPad problem is I cant find a app that is good. The only app I was able to find was VLCStreamer and it has to encode the video first before it can stream it rather then streaming the raw video over my WiFi connection like AirStream does. Even if AirStream encodes the video it does it on the fly and I can seek through a video and it only takes 1 second to update the video so its almost like the video is already on my device.
